ICT Supporters Trust: Update to Members

As promised in our e-mail on 2 January, we would like to update you on the composition of our Board following our first Board Meeting of the year on 7 January and on some of the activities of the Trust.

As we previously advised, our Chair and Secretary, Jennifer Aitchison resigned from the Board following the AGM on 14 December. The Trust Board would like to place on record its thanks to Jen for carrying out this dual role and leading the Trust through a very turbulent period.  At the Board Meeting, we appointed 2 new office bearers with George Moodie being appointed Chair and Robert Andrew appointed as Secretary.

Office Bearers for 2025 were agreed:

Chair: George Moodie

Vice Chair: Laura Grant

Secretary: Robert Andrew

Treasurer: Kath Fraser

Membership Secretary: Alison McInnes

We also welcomed the two new Board Members who were confirmed at the AGM, Mikey Lyall and Peter Murphy. In addition, the Board agreed to co-opt David Moffat to the Board. Mikey, Peter and David bring new skills, knowledge and experience to the Board, which will strengthen our ability to work on behalf of our members.

The Board also discussed the club’s current situation, taking into account the Press Conference held by the Administrator on 23 December and the continuing commitment made to the club by Alan Savage.

We had been aiming to hold a Fans Meeting during February, however, given we are currently likely to remain in administration, we agreed to defer this until 1 March instead where hopefully clarity on the outcome of administration may be clearer. If things develop faster we will of course arrange a Fans Meeting sooner. Further details will be confirmed in due course. In the meantime, if any member has questions for the Trust Board regarding the club’s current position, feel free to contact us at info@ictsupporterstrust.org. Alternatively, speak to one of the Board before or after a game, we are always well represented in Bar 94. The Trust has an information desk at the far end of the bar, close to the emergency exit.

Bar 94 continues to do well, with positive feedback received to date. Our aim was to try and encourage the bar to be a destination for supporters, where fans can enjoy a pre- or post-match pint and pie in a safe environment. There are further improvements we plan to make, particularly to provide improved ladies’ toilet facilities. The partnership with Dog Falls Brewery is proving very successful, with their products continuing to be very well received. We have a growing number of volunteer bar staff who are available to assist our regular volunteers, Laura, and Matthew McIlhatton, and we are keen to build up a greater number to give more flexibility and coverage. Training will be provided so previous bar experience is not necessary. If you are interested and can help, even if only at a small number of games, please contact us info@ictsupporterstrust.org.

The improved matchday bus service has seen good usage on the first two days of operation. The Trust is grateful to Stagecoach for providing the service, and for donating the revenue from the operation on 28 December to the Trust which amounted to £319.53. For 3 pm kick offs, the bus leaves the Bus Station at 1 pm and 2.15 pm, returning from the Stadium 10 minutes after the full-time whistle and again at 6 pm. This allows supporters to spend time in Bar 94 before and after the game if they wish. We are delighted that Scott Kellacher, and his players are joining us in the bar after games, and that Player of the Match presentations are being carried out in Bar 94.

The Board received updates on the Trust’s financial position and membership. It was noted that current membership represents a sixfold increase on the number of members in 2022. We have ambitions to further grow our membership, so if you have an ICT supporting friend, family member, work colleague or neighbour who is not currently a member then please encourage them to join for only £5pa at Join Us | ICT Supporters Trust

We are very grateful to our members for their continued support, for the feedback on the initiatives we have carried out and we continue to remain open to new suggestions. It is likely that during the year, subgroups will be put in place to enable specific areas to be focussed on. If you can help with the work of the Trust, please do not be shy! Feel free to contact us at any time at info@ictsupporterstrust.org.
