It’s been a long time coming, but last week marked a significant milestone for the Supporters Trust. I had the privilege of attending our very first Board Meeting of the Football Club. This is something the Trust has worked tirelessly toward for many years. At times, it felt like a distant goal, but under new owner Alan Savage, we were warmly welcomed to the Boardroom table for the first time. The meeting was extremely positive. What an encouraging start to the season and a great September, winning all our games.   However, the season is a marathon not a sprint and, whilst the start of it has exceeded all our wildest hopes, we need to build on the start and, as fans, our role is to continue to encourage and support the Management Team and players.   We are seeing increased attendances this season to enjoy positive performances on the pitch, and hopefully that will continue as the season progresses.  

What an encouraging start to the season we have had, with us rising to fourth in the table and leading the Challenge Cup table. Great credit must go not only to the Management Team, coaches and all the players, but to Alan Savage for making the funds available that enabled the squad to be in place for the start of the season.   It is great to see more fans at matches this season, with a crowd of 2160 reported for the recent Alloa game. With pre-season friendlies already underway and our first competitive match in the League Cup taking place in less than two weeks the new season is almost upon us. Well, it has finally happened! It has been a long 8 months since we entered administration in October, but I am sure we are all delighted that everything came together at the CVA and Members’ Meetings on 5 June, paving the way for Alan Savage to take control of the club and for the club to exit administration, maintaining our League 1 status as a result. Well, what a season that was! A real rollercoaster of emotions, on and off the pitch. Tremendous credit must go to Scott Kellacher, Billy Mckay, all the backroom team and all the players for securing our League 1 status for next season. The Trust Board held its February meeting last week. We will holding a Fans Meeting in Bar 94 at 12:30 on Saturday 1 March. Charlie Christie and Scott Young will be attending to give an update and answer questions on the club’s current situation. We will also take this opportunity to discuss some of Charlie’s highlights from the first 30 years. As promised in our e-mail on 2 January, we would like to update you on the composition of our Board following our first Board Meeting of the year on 7 January and on some of the activities of the Trust. As we previously advised, our Chair and Secretary, Jennifer Aitchison resigned from the Board following the AGM on 14 December.
