With pre-season friendlies already underway and our first competitive match in the League Cup taking place in less than two weeks the new season is almost upon us. It is great to see the squad coming together, and I am sure we are all eager to see the new arrivals in action in the coming weeks.
In the lead up to the new season, a lot of work has been going on behind the scenes, and our Groundsman, Dale, is seeking volunteers to assist him with a general pre-match tidy up around the pitch this Friday, 4 July at 1000. If you can spare an hour or two, that will be greatly appreciated. Please let us know at info@ictsupporterstrust.org if you are able to assist.
A reminder that Aaron Doran’s well deserved Testimonial is taking place at 1400 this Saturday, 5 July, against Ross County. We hope that this game will attract a large crowd. Aaron will be playing for part of the match, whilst both teams will be fielding their strongest teams. Tickets, priced at £15 for adults and £5 for under 16s are available here:
Bar 94 will open at 1130, reopening after the match. The Testimonial Committee have a lot of fun events lined up before and after the game, whilst Aaron and many of the players will be in Bar 94 after full time. There may be a few surprises too!
The Matchday Bus Service will be operating, leaving the Bus Station at 1145 and 1315, returning from the Stadium 10 minutes after the full time whistle and at 1700. The fare is £2.70 single, with Over 60 / Disabled and Under 22 Concession passes valid.
As the circus is taking place in the Stadium Car Park on Saturday, parking will be restricted at and around the stadium. As a result, please use the bus if you can.
Stagecoach have advised that they will be donating all revenue from Saturday’s journeys to Aaron’s Testimonial Fund: another great reason for using the bus as Aaron will directly benefit! On behalf of the Testimonial Committee, we thank Stagecoach for this generous gesture.
Bar 94 will be open, and the buses will be operating for the League Cup games against Elgin City and St Johnstone.
For the Elgin game on Tuesday 15 July, Bar 94 will open at 1730 and again at full time, with buses leaving the Bus Station at 1745 and 1900, returning 10 minutes after the full time whistle and at 2245.
For the St Johnstone game on Saturday 19 July, Bar 94 will open at 1200 and again at full time, with buses leaving the Bus Station at 1245 and 1415, returning 10 minutes after the full time whistle and at 1800.
On behalf of the Trust Board, I have had recent discussions with various representatives of the club, including Alan Savage and Andrew Benjamin, and this followed on from the Trust’s involvement in the Season Ticket prices and bandings for the coming season, and the welcome reduction in prices. If you have not already renewed or purchased your season ticket, we encourage you to do so. Full details or prices and how to purchase are here:
We are currently finalising our plans for a Fans Meeting which will take place before one of our League games in August. We will confirm the date once we have checked that our planned date works for key club officials.
Unless you have renewed your membership recently, you will receive your renewal e-mail shortly. We are a membership organisation, and the larger our membership the more we can achieve on behalf of fans. It has been a busy year for members of the Trust Board, and we hope you feel that your membership has been worthwhile, and well worth the £5 fee (the price of a pint of Dog Falls in Bar 94!). We have certainly valued your support and all the positive feedback we have received, and we look forward to achieving even more in the coming season.
We really hope that you will renew your membership, but if you have any questions about the Trust or membership, please contact us at info@ictsupporterstrust.org, or come and have a chat with us in Bar 94 before or after Aaron’s testimonial.
Finally, thank you to everyone who entered our prize draw. We carried out the draw and announced the winner last week. Congratulations to Duncan MacAuley. If you missed it, you can read about it and watch the draw here:
