Update to Members: June 2025

Well, it has finally happened!

It has been a long 8 months since we entered administration in October, but I am sure we are all delighted that everything came together at the CVA and Members’ Meetings on 5 June, paving the way for Alan Savage to take control of the club and for the club to exit administration, maintaining our League 1 status as a result.

Alan clearly has big plans for the club, and the Supporters Trust looks forward to working closely with him and his team to make the matchday experience as positive as possible for fans and to grow the fan base.

We have already had a flavour of these plans, with ideas like the concert venue and café, whilst there is clearly a focus on bringing in much needed sponsorship and commercial revenue, with an initial example being the three year deal on the naming rights of the stadium with Sarens PSG.

This will give the club much needed stability, free from the severe financial burdens it has faced, and allow it to focus on building a squad that is capable of achieving the objective of promotion to the Championship, despite the 5 point penalty that we will start the new season with.

The Trust is grateful to everyone who has played their part in getting us to this stage. A lot has happened over the last 12 months, and it is great to have this new dawn and be able to look forward to the new season with renewed optimism.

We are delighted that the management team is remaining in place. The positive approach and mindset on the pitch since Scott and Billy took the helm was refreshing, and we look forward to that continuing in the new season.

Communication by the club has improved tremendously in recent months, and it is particularly pleasing that they have been keeping us updated on the squad for next season, and we are delighted that so many players have committed their future to us. We also wish to record our thanks to those players who are leaving the club, either due to their loans expiring or them looking to progress their career elsewhere.

It is also apparent that many lessons have been learnt from failings of the past.

Turning to Trust business, we held our June Board Meeting recently.

We welcome Alan’s desire to work closely with fans and to improve the matchday experience. As an early example of this, we were involved from the outset in discussions about Season Ticket bandings and pricing for the new season with our Chair, George Moodie, having several meetings with the club. It is great to see that many of our suggestions have been taken on board.

On sale in the club shop and online from 9 June, the season ticket prices give a reduction in price from last season across Adult and Over 65s categories. The previous 18-20 year old category from last season has been extended to now include 21 year-olds and students with valid ID.

The Supporters Trust urges all fans to renew their season tickets, and we hope that those who chose not to renew last season, due to the turmoil we were going through at the time, also purchase season tickets this season.

Full details of pricing and bands are here:

We are very grateful to everyone who gave up their time on Sunday 1 June to assist us in making further improvements to Bar 94. We achieved a lot on the day, some things that will be visible when you are next in the bar, others that were behind the scenes to make life easier for our bar volunteers. There is more we want to achieve during the close season, and we will have a further volunteer day in the coming weeks. We will be in touch once we have confirmed the date.

Our partnership with Dog Falls will continue next season, and Stagecoach will continue to provide the matchday bus service that caters for Bar 94 as well as the match. There will be a slight change to the times, so the first bus can cater for anyone attending hospitality as well as those coming to Bar 94. The times for 1500 kick offs on Saturdays will be:

Depart Bus Station 1245 and 1415

Depart Stadium 10 minutes after the full time whistle and 1800.

We hope you have seen our e-mail about our on line prize draw to raise funds for the Supporters Trust. The prize is a 2025/26 season ticket of your choice, for an adult or child in the North or Main Stands. Tickets are only £5 and the draw will take place on Tuesday 24 June. You can enter here:

If you are on CaleyThistleOnline, you will have seen that Scotty has recently made some improvements and changes to the Forum. One of these is aimed at increasing the visibility of the Supporters Trust Forum on the site by making it a subforum of the main forum. Please have a look, and click the link to join the club, as doing so allows you to comment on any post in the Supporters Trust Forum. If you are not on CaleyThistleOnline, you can access the site here:

We are approaching the end of our membership year and will be in touch with you about renewing your membership in early July. We are a membership organisation, and we can achieve more if we can maintain and increase our membership, so we really hope that you will continue to be a member. Membership will continue at only £5 (£1 for Under 16s). Anyone who joins now will get membership through until 31 July 2026, so if you know anyone who is not a member, please encourage them to join. The process is easy for joining or renewing. Just click here:

We are grateful to all our members for the support we have received during what has been a tumultuous period.

Roll on the new season!
